EF Education-EasyPosti rattur Lachlan Morton tegi teoks lubaduse ja sõitis heategevuslikul eesmärgil Saksamaalt Ukraina piirile. Austraalia rattur startis laupäeva varahommikul Münchenist ning jõudis Tšehhimaa ja Poola kaudu Korczowa piiripunkti.
Kokku läbis Morton 42 tunniga 1063 kilomeetrit ning kogus piirile jõudes 193 334 dollarit Ukraina sõjapõgenike abistamiseks. Morton oli ratta seljas kaks ööd ja selleks, et katsumust oleks lõbusam läbida, olid tal seltsiks erinevad ratturid. Algselt oli Mortoni eesmärk koguda 50 000 dollarit, kuid loo kirjutamise ajaks oli annetatud summa ületanud 200 000 piiri.
"Tänan kõiki, kes minu ettevõtmist toetasid. See tähistab minu raske teekonna lõppu, kuid seda ei saa võrrelda kannatustega, mida peavad läbi elama teisel pool piiri elavad inimesed. Loodetavasti on rattakogukond ühtne ja toetab neid inimesi," lausus Morton.
